The Polar Express

This weekend we headed to the mountains with some friends to ride The Polar Express.  We stayed in a nice cabin, watched a Christmas movie and even made Gingerbread Ninjas!

We somehow managed to get one family picture.

He's got his golden ticket!

The big boys were quite impressed when Santa made an appearance on our train!

Every Little Wish

For the last month or so JV has been going around the house singing Christmas songs.  I had told BV that I hoped his school would be doing a Christmas show, and unbeknown to us, the music teacher was preparing the kids for just that.  So this morning we got to attend JV's 1st Christmas program!

Above is his class, "The Children's House".

He knew we were right up front, but just cheezed and looked away when he saw us.

Towards the end of the show he started to really get into it.  That's Santa's belly if you were wondering.

A Messy, Fun, Day

Today JV wanted to do "projects".  I found a cute candy cane craft at No Time For Flashcards.  Since we were downstairs I simplified it a bit and here's what we got:

JV wasn't ready to stop gluing after finishing his candy cane so I gave him a gingerbread man pattern that was too small for another project, a couple pieces of left over scrapbooking paper, and the glue bottle.
Above:  He is gluing a "hat" onto the Gingerbread man
Below: He is applying glue from each side of the table.
Next he wanted to play with his Lego's so we cleaned up the crafts and brought his box of Lego's downstairs.  I set it up and then went to the computer to order Christmas presents.  He was happily content for at least 20 minutes.  I think it's safe to say his attention span is getting longer!
Nice work!  This "baby" has a house.
Because he has been reluctant to take a bath lately, I persuaded him into the tub with colored shaving cream that he could paint the walls with.
He also painted his body.

 "Yellow!"
Look at that focus.
Night night Tally the Elf!

Orange juice and a movie

While at Target, Jackson asked for some orange juice.  He has a cold so I thought that the vitamin C would be good for him.
 Yummy!
 Cheese!
